Description: The Oak Point Method combines modern functional assessment with both traditional and contemporary acupuncture to effectively treat musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. This approach will help you attain outstanding clinical results, which means satisfied patients, more referrals, and a thriving practice. The Oak Point Method also helps bring acupuncture more into the mainstream for the treatment of pain. Instructor, Dimitri Boules LAC, LMT details the steps needed to make acupuncture practitioners the go-to experts in their communities and allow them to earn a sustainable living doing what they love. Boules outlines each part of the assessment and treatment, making it easy to understand and replicate. You’ll learn:

  • -       Extra points never taught in school
  • -       How to use secondary modalities effectively with The Oak Point Method
  • -       How to create a wellness program for your patients
  • -       How to treat the root cause of the mechanical dysfunction behind your patients’ pain

About the presenter:

Dimitri Boules LAc, LMT, CPT, CPE

As a New York State licensed acupuncturist and massage therapist, Dimitri takes a holistic approach with his patients—tailoring treatments to individual conditions and needs. He began working in the health field as an Astoria-based personal trainer in 2006 (National Academy of Sports Medicine certified). While he very much enjoyed helping people improve their health and fitness levels, he quickly recognized that the majority of his clients suffered from chronic pain or medical conditions. Many of them viewed pharmaceutical drugs and/or surgery as the only treatment options. Dimitri realized there were better alternatives and decided to continue his education.

He completed his degree in Massage Therapy and his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Acupuncture at New York College of Health Professions. Dimitri also completed a holistic health counseling program at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition as well as a certification in posture rehabilitation from the American Posture Institute. His education and learning has never stopped! Dimitri regularly attends seminars all around the world and voraciously reads the latest research in massage therapy, acupuncture, holistic health, and more.

Today, Dimitri is co-owner of Oak Point Health & Vitality Centre in Astoria, where he treats a wide range of conditions and concerns but specializes in neuromuscular skeletal problems, such as sports and orthopedic injuries, sciatica, lower back pain, etc. As the long list of happy Oak Point clients will attest, his blend of traditional and contemporary acupuncture, massage therapy, corrective exercises, and posture rehabilitation truly addresses the root cause of dysfunction and not just the symptoms.

For more information, you can visit his website at www.oakpointhealth.com and follow him on Facebook @oakpointhealth.
