Cupping has caused quite a media stir in this summer's Olympics, when eye-catching bruises were so clearly visible on Michael Phelps as well as members of the United States men’s gymnastics team. Twitter exploded with questions and comments, and news outlets from NBC and ABC included segments on Cupping in the following evening's nightly news.

While it is clear that this year's Olympic athletes in particular are using Cupping to reduce soreness and speed up healing of overworked muscles, cupping therapy delivers a far more broad range of effective health benefits. Developed over 3000 years in China, Cupping therapy instills century-old Chinese Medicine wisdom as a natural alternative to our holistic health. Adhering to the essence of traditional Chinese medicine, Cupping therapy stimulates energy points along the body to promote Qi (energy) flow and remove toxins thereby promotes body’s inborn healing power to combat pains in muscle and joints, fatigue and boost immune systems, as well as anti-aging benefit for health, wellbeing and beauty.

In this upcoming class, Dr. Ping Zhang will teach how to use cupping methodology to treat both muscular pain syndrome and neurological pain syndrome, as well as asthma and digestive disorders. This class includes lecture and instructor-led demonstration, followed by hands-on practice so that you will leave with the ability to incorporate this therapy into your practice and with your clients.
