Donguibogam academy is an international outreach and education program prepared and co-sponsored by Pusan National University, College of Korean Medicine and Korean Institute of Oriental Medicine. It is currently funded by the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of Health and Welfare. Our purpose is to increase outreach and share our current advancements of Korean Medicine. Traditional Korean Medicine is a complete medical system, which has been developed over thousands of years and has greatly contributed to disease treatment and health promotion in Korea. Similar to Western Medicine, relevant laws are legislated in order to develop and vitalize Traditional Korean Medicine. There is a specialized curriculum and educational system in place, as well as a medical licensing system dedicated to Traditional Korean Medicine in Korea.

Donguibogam is also known as Principles and Practice of Eastern Medicine. The DonguiBogam is a Korean medical encyclopedia which recognized by the UNESCO world heritage. It consists of medical knowledge and treatment techniques complied in Korea in 1613 with the collective support of medical experts and literati according to royal instruction. The work informs the evolution of medicine in East Asia and beyond.
